The Liphook Equine Hospital (The LEH), founded in 1976, is now one of the largest specialist veterinary practices in the UK. We are dedicated to the horse world providing an ambulatory and referral service 24/7. We are able to offer both a highly experienced ambulatory equine practice and an expert, fully equipped equine referral hospital complete with comprehensive on-site laboratory facilities.
The main hospital site is located near Liphook, in rural East Hampshire. The area covered by our ambulatory practice covers approximately a 25 mile radius from the hospital site. We also have specialist equine veterinary facilities on the Isle of Wight, which works in partnership with the mainland.
The practice has a large team of highly qualified personnel, all of whom are dedicated and experienced in caring for all types of horses, ponies, and donkeys entrusted to our care. We are committed to remaining at the forefront of equine medicine and surgery to provide the most appropriate care for both our pateints and their owners.
Our new website, currently under construction, aims to provide general information for both clients and referring vets, please contact us if you need more specific information.
With a New Year arrives a new web site. Some of the areas for clients and referring veterinary surgeons are under construction. If you have any ideas or topics you would like discussed in our News or Spotlight areas then please contact us at website@theLEH.co.uk

The Highest Standards
The Liphook Equine Hospital is proud to be an approved member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme. Of the 3 tiers, we have been accredited at the highest level - a tier 3 veterinary hospital. We have passed an inspection carried out by the RCVS (UK vets' governing body) focusing on a range of areas, including standards of care, hygiene, health and safety, staff, clinical governance and the facilities we provide, to name just few of the many criteria. The practice will be reinspected every four years and we will be subject to spot-checks in the meantime. The Practice Standards Scheme is a voluntary initiative – not all practices are part of it. RCVS accreditation means that as a client you can rest assured that our practice offers a high quality of care for your horse, pony, donkey or mule – in those bits of the practice you can see – and those that you can’t.
